In fact, the plan worked so well during Hurricane Fran, that Plantation Village employees received the Distinguished Service Award from the North Carolina Association of Non-Profit Homes for the Aging for “outstanding performance before, during and after Hurricane Fran.” And every year, the Emergency Preparedness Plan is refined and updated.
