The good news today is that power has been restored to Plantation Village. However, it remains NOT safe to return to the campus until further notice. At this point, a return date remains uncertain as there very significant flooding in the area and roads are blocked with downed trees. We have security and maintenance crews actively monitoring and assessing the campus, the gates remained closed, and only authorized emergency personnel are being granted access. We will provide more details as information becomes available regarding any necessary remediation and property clean-up once a more thorough property assessment is completed. Local authorities continue have a curfew in effect from 8 pm to 6 am for all of New Hanover County, and officials have mandated that evacuees do not attempt to return to Wilmington at this time as the county is virtually surrounded by water. The New Hanover County information hotline is 910-798-6800.
